Team VPC is proud to introduce a new chapter in our journey, not just as a car rental company, but as a community partner for a safer Tonga. Today, we launch RoadWise Tonga, a creative colouring book series designed by an award-winning team to teach road safety and the Tonga Road Code to our youngest citizens, and remind of our Road Code to the visitors of Tonga.

Why Start with Children?

Every day in Tonga, children walk to school, ride in family cars, or cross roads to play or visit relatives. But far too often, they do so without understanding the risks around them.

That’s why road safety education must begin in childhood. Teaching children the basics — like why we drive on the left, how to cross the road safely, and the meaning of common road signs — lays the foundation for safe habits that can last a lifetime.

This isn’t just about children being safe — it’s about raising children who grow up to be safe drivers, safe passengers, and responsible citizens.

What is RoadWise Tonga?

RoadWise Tonga is a vibrant, interactive colouring book series created by an award-winning team of designers and artists specially for Tonga. It features:

• Local characters, like Fetu and Kalo, in familiar places and situations
• Fun illustrations that teach essential road rules in simple, memorable ways
• Tongan cultural values of respect, family, and care for others — all woven into every page

With these books, children don’t just colour — they learn, laugh, and grow.

Our Role as VPC

At VPC, we know that true road safety goes beyond well-maintained vehicles — it’s about the people who use them. That’s why we’re proud to say that VPC vehicles are not only safe for drivers and families, but also environmentally responsible, helping to keep our roads and our islands clean and safe for future generations.
